The Founder
This was a night job for a long time.
By day I was an engineer, leading teams of developers. At night, after four kids were in bed, I sold hats and shoes on eBay, learning one order at a time what men actually wanted and what they were afraid of getting wrong.
I grew up around menswear, my dad sold it for a living, so I knew what good service looked like long before I wrote a line of code. DapperFam, though, I built from scratch.
In 2016 I launched the site. I stocked it with things I would wear myself and waited. For four years, not much happened. Then 2020 shut the stores down, and men who had always bought in person went looking online. A lot of them found us. Most of them stayed. And the racks have grown since, from hats and shoes into full tailoring.
